Support the Heroic Palestinian Resistance! Defeat Israel!

1. Hamas – the leading force of the Palestinian Resistance – has launched a military operation, called “Operation Al Aqsa Flood”, against the Israeli Apartheid state. In an unprecedented surprise attack, Palestinian fighters have sent thousands of rockets against Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. At the same time, they broke down the Israel-Gaza border fence and intruded the Israeli side. According to Israeli news agencies, Palestinian militants operate in Israeli cities like Sderot and Be’eri. They have taken dozens Israeli soldiers and civilians as prisoners. Pictures have emerged from at least one Israeli tank burnt with Palestinian youth rejoicing. Mohammed Deif, head of the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, issued a statement calling other Palestinian and Arab forces to join the struggle, adding: “This is the time to expel the occupiers!”
2. This operation is a justified reaction to the extreme escalation of the barbaric oppression of the Palestinian people by the Zionist state in the past period. Since 2007, Israel has transformed the Gaza strip into an open prison house, blocking the import of essential living foods and medicine. The Israeli army has also dramatically increased the oppression of Palestinians in the West Bank, resulting in the highest number of deaths this year since a decade. Thousands of Palestinians are vegetating under terrible conditions in Israeli prisons. Furthermore, right-wing settlers have repeatedly stormed and desecrated the Al Aqsa mosque – the third holiest site in Islam.
3. The Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) and its comrades its Occupied Palestine unconditionally support the struggle of the Palestinean resistance. In this war, socialists, democrats, all rightous people around the world, have only one side to take – the side of the oppressed. We say: victory to the Palestinian people! Defeat Israel!
4. Naturally, this does not mean that we politically support the leadership of Hamas (or Islamic Jihad) or its petty-bourgeois nationalist and Islamist ideology. However, only an ignorant person could ignore the fundamental fact that the Palestinean people are fighting for their right of national self-determination since decades. Make no mistake: this is is a just war of national defence on the side of the Palestinean people and a reactionary war of oppression on the side of the Zionist state!
5. We call workers and popular organisations around the world to rally in support of the Palestinean people and its heroic resistance. All Arab and Muslim governments which claim to stand by the Palestinian people must immediately break off all political, economic, and military relations with the Zionist state. They must send the Palestinian people everything they need – from medical to military aid. Likewise, it is urgent to intensify the international boycott campaign which has been initiated by pro-Palestinian solidarity forces and trade unions.
6. The RCIT reiterates that as long as the Zionist state exists, the Palestinians will continue suffering from state terrorism! This is why we stand for the socialist perspective of a democratic and red Palestine. We support the struggle for the destruction of the Zionist state and the right to return for all Palestinian refugees.
Comrades, brothers and sisters! This is a historic event! Do not hesitate! Rally in support of the heroic Palestinian people!

1. Hamás –la principal fuerza de la Resistencia Palestina– ha desplegado una operación militar, llamada “Operación Inundación de Al Aqsa”, contra el Estado de Apartheid israelí. En un ataque sorpresa sin precedentes, los combatientes palestinos lanzaron miles de cohetes contra ciudades israelíes, incluida Tel Aviv. Al mismo tiempo, derribaron la valla fronteriza entre Israel y Gaza e invadieron el lado israelí. Según agencias de noticias israelíes, militantes palestinos operan en ciudades como Sderot y Be’eri y tomaron como prisioneros a decenas de soldados y civiles israelíes. Han surgido imágenes de al menos un tanque israelí quemado con jóvenes palestinos regocijándose. Mohammed Deif, jefe de las Brigadas al-Qassam, el ala militar de Hamás, emitió un comunicado llamando a otras fuerzas palestinas y árabes a unirse a la lucha, y añadió: “¡Este es el momento de expulsar a los ocupantes!“
2. Esta operación es una reacción justificada a la escalada brutal de opresión bárbara contra el pueblo palestino por parte del Estado sionista en el período pasado. Desde 2007, Israel ha transformado la franja de Gaza en una prisión abierta, bloqueando la importación de alimentos y medicinas esenciales. El ejército israelí también ha aumentado drásticamente la opresión de los palestinos en Cisjordania, lo que ha provocado este año el mayor número de muertes desde hace una década. Miles de palestinos están vegetando en condiciones terribles en las cárceles israelíes, además, los colonos de derecha han irrumpido y profanado repetidamente la mezquita de Al Aqsa, el tercer lugar más sagrado del Islam.
3. Desde la Corriente Comunista Revolucionaria Internacional (CCRI) y nuestros camaradas en la Palestina Ocupada, apoyamos incondicionalmente la lucha de la resistencia palestina. En esta guerra, los socialistas, los demócratas y todas las personas justas del mundo tenemos un solo bando: el de los oprimidos, por eso decimos: ¡Victoria al pueblo palestino! ¡Derrota a Israel!
4. Naturalmente, esto no significa que apoyemos políticamente el liderazgo de Hamás (o la Jihad Islámica) ni a su ideología nacionalista e islamista pequeñoburguesa. Sin embargo, sólo personas ignorantes podrían ignorar que el pueblo palestino lleva décadas luchando por su derecho a la autodeterminación nacional. ¡Que nadie se equivoque, esta es una guerra justa de defensa nacional por parte del pueblo palestino y una guerra reaccionaria de opresión por parte del Estado sionista!
5. Llamamos a los trabajadores y a las organizaciones populares de todo el mundo a unirse en apoyo del pueblo palestino y su heroica resistencia. Todos los gobiernos árabes y musulmanes que afirman apoyar al pueblo palestino deben romper inmediatamente sus relaciones políticas, económicas y militares con el Estado sionista. Deben enviar al pueblo palestino todo lo que necesita, desde ayuda médica hasta ayuda militar. Asimismo, es urgente intensificar la campaña de boicot internacional iniciada por las fuerzas de solidaridad y los sindicatos pro palestinos.
6. ¡Desde la CCRI reiteramos, que, mientras exista el Estado sionista, los palestinos seguirán sufriendo el terrorismo de Estado! Por eso defendemos la perspectiva socialista de una Palestina democrática y roja. Apoyamos la lucha por la destrucción del Estado sionista y el derecho al retorno de todos los refugiados palestinos. ¡Camaradas, hermanos y hermanas! ¡Este es un evento histórico! ¡Ninguna duda al respecto, hay que movilizarse para apoyar al heroico pueblo palestino!
